ERW: Uniform Composition, Stable Medium-Low Pressure Performance
The weld of electric resistance welded steel pipe is formed by self-fusion of the base metal, so its chemical composition is identical to the base metal. The test shows that the tensile strength of Huayang's ERW pipe is 414-517MPa, and the yield strength is ≥320MPa, which can fully meet the medium and low pressure (≤4MPa) requirements. In the 2024 Shijiazhuang Municipal Water Supply Project, 20,000 tons of ERW pipes withstood a 1.6MPa pressure test, with a weld qualification rate of 100%.
The hfw steel pipe performs better: the narrow heat-affected zone avoids grain coarsening, and its low-temperature impact toughness (-20℃) reaches 35J, which is 10% higher than that of ordinary ERW. In the 2024 Harbin Winter Water Supply Project, 5,000 tons of HFW pipes operated normally at -30℃ without brittle fractures.
