EN10219

EN10219 standard is the core standard for cold-formed welded structural hollow steel pipes formulated by the European Union, which is called Cold Formed Welded Structural Hollow Sections of Non-Alloy and Fine Grain Steels, that is, the standard for cold-formed welded structural hollow profiles of non-alloy and fine-grained steel.

This standard is applicable to cold-formed welded structural pipes with a wall thickness of less than 40mm and an outer diameter of less than 2500mm, covering circular, square, rectangular, oval and other cross-sectional shapes. It stipulates the technical delivery conditions of cold-formed welded hollow profiles, including the requirements of size, shape, weight, tolerance, material, mechanical properties and surface quality.

The standard EN10219 defines the technological characteristics of "cold forming", that is, the manufacturing process of forming a steel plate into a tube by cold working (such as rolling and bending), and then by high-frequency welding or submerged arc welding. Its applicable materials include non-alloy steel and fine-grained steel, and the common material brands are S235JRH, S275J0H, S355J2H, etc. These steel pipes are mainly used in metal welding structures such as building steel structures, offshore platforms and construction machinery.
