EN10210

EN10210 standard is an important technical specification for hollow profiles of non-alloy and fine-grained steel thermoformed structure formulated by european committee for standardization (CEN). The full name is "en 10210-1: 2006 hot-finished structural hollow sections of non-alloy and fine-grain steels-part 1: technical delivery conditions", that is, "non-alloy and fine-grained steel thermoformed structural hollow profiles Part 1: technical delivery conditions".

This standard specifies the technical requirements for hollow profiles of non-alloy and fine-grained steel thermoforming structure, including dimensions, shapes, weights, tolerances, materials, mechanical properties, surface quality, etc., in order to ensure product quality and safety. Its application scope includes building steel structure, machinery manufacturing, bridge construction, vehicle and ship structure and many other fields. The cross-sectional shapes of steel pipes covered by EN10210 standard are round, square, rectangular and oval, and their manufacturing processes include seamless and welding, and the welding processes are also common resistance welding (ERW) and submerged arc welding (SAW).

In the EN10210 standard, the material grades such as S235JRH, S275JOH, S355J2H, etc. Different grades represent different properties such as yield strength and impact toughness. For example, "S" stands for structural steel, followed by the lowest yield strength, "JR" stands for impact at room temperature (20℃) and impact work ≥27J, "J0" stands for specific impact performance at 0℃, "J2" stands for low temperature impact (-20℃), impact work ≥27J, and "H" stands for hollow profile.
