Production technology and characteristics
1. Manufacturing process
Hot rolled steel strip → continuous roll forming → high frequency induction heating → extrusion welding → weld heat treatment/leveling → sizing → nondestructive testing → hydrostatic test → pipe cutting → end face processing (flat end/groove) → anti-corrosion coating → packaging and delivery.
2. Core advantages
Excellent weld quality: high-frequency welding has small heat affected zone, uniform structure, and weld strength close to the base metal, which is suitable for high-pressure working conditions.
High dimensional accuracy: small tolerance of outer diameter, wall thickness and roundness, which is convenient for on-site butt welding and automatic construction.
High production efficiency: continuous forming welding, lower cost than seamless pipe and LSAW (longitudinal submerged arc welding), and outstanding cost performance.
Wide specification coverage: 1/2 "–24" (114–610mm) outside diameter, 3–16mm wall thickness, 6m/12m length or customized.
Strong adaptability: it can be used as 3PE/2PE/FBE/ cement lining to meet the requirements of land/seabed/low temperature/corrosive environment.
3. Compared with other welded pipes
VS ordinary ERW：HFW has higher frequency, more stable welding, better weld quality and toughness, and is suitable for high-pressure pipelines.
Vlsaw: HFW has high efficiency and low cost, and is suitable for small and medium caliber; LSAW is suitable for super-large diameter and thick-walled high-voltage trunk lines.
VS Seamless Pipe: HFW has higher cost performance and more complete specifications, and gradually replaces some seamless pipe scenes in pipeline engineering.
